Here are some of our tried and true shapes. All our skis are tailored to suit the rider. Custom flex, length and shape are standard issue at NorthSide Customs. Wood veneer topsheets, custom graphics, or custom wood inlay topsheets, with plastic UHMW sidewalls. Hardwood sidewalls can be substituted for weight savings. The highest quality materials are always used like our triaxial fiberglass, carbon fiber weave, rubber damping, hardened steel edges, and custom wood cores, made from a variety of woods profiled to individual specifics. ProjectorModeled after popular low-rise rocker skis with elliptical sidecuts. These skis perform best in variable snow conditions or as an inbounds softer snow ski with its lower rocker and slightly larger-than-average turning radius with low camber underfoot. This ski is available in lengths from 145cm-205cm. The Trucker maximizes contact length for superior control on firmer snow. This ski can access any terrain with excellent backcountry performance in soft or firm snow. Lane SplitterThis backcountry booter is super playful and ready to land switch all day in the powder/chopped powder. This ski is a center mounted ski, almost symmetrical in dimension with ample tip and tail rocker, best suited for inbounds and backcountry tricks. The Lane Splitter shown here in a 185cm, 139-115-133mm with Zebrawood veneer topsheet. | Off RampThe Off Ramp features ample tip rocker and a low rise tail rocker that allows this ski to maintain a significant contact length. This ski is great for going fast, both inbounds and in the backcountry in changing snow conditions. This ski is available in lengths from 145cm -205cm. Head On CollisionThe Head On Collision. A full-on, big mountain charging ski. This ski is meant for crushing terrain and variable snow. Rocker tip, slight camber underfoot and low rocker tail makes this a true big mountain ski. This ski is available in lengths from 175-205cm, The Head On Collision shown here in a 189cm, 135-115-125mm with figured Sapele wood veneer topsheet. | AscentA traditional sidecut and cambered ski. This ski is designed for lightweight backcountry uphill travel and rapid downhill performance. A careful weight to strength ratio is balanced for best performance on long tours and rapid ascents. The Ascent shown here in a 180cm, 121-91-112mm with straight grain Maple wood veneer topsheet. | Rt 20This ski is made for going extremely fast in smooth, fresh snow, can pivot effortlessly and planes immediately. This ski has a small flat section underfoot with a very small amount of sidecut to avoid the scary cat track 'slarve'. If you haven't skied a reverse/reverse in pure powder, you are missing a significant life pleasure. This ski is available in lengths from 171-200cm.
